Indian Lake has been without a supermarket for three-and-a-half years, but now has two farmers' markets. McWhorter's Orchards, Argyle, has been coming to town for many years with fresh corn, greens, beans and all sorts of other veggies and fruits Tuesdays and Fridays from 12-4 p.m. across from the library. Now a second farmers' market is being held under tents every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the lawn at Indian Lake Central School. Here one finds locally grown plants, canned pickles, greens from the Indian Lake Community Garden, baked goods and crafts. It will run through Sept. 24.
