Adirondack Challenge closing ceremonies were held at the lodge on Gore Mountain in North Creek Monday afternoon, July 22, where William Farber, chairman of the Hamilton County Board of Supervisors, and state Senator Betty Little thanked Governor Andrew Cuomo for the publicity brought to the region by the Adirondack Challenge whitewater races in the Town of Indian Lake. Indian Lake Supervisor Brian Wells thanked New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg for his part in the promotion and presented him with the key to Indian Lake.
