Apply for Collaborations grants

Friday, August 29, 2014 - Updated: 8:22 AM

LAKE PLACID -- Adirondack Foundation is accepting applications for Collaborations grants through Sept. 15.

Collaborations grants support community organizations -- nonprofits, municipalities and schools -- that work together to address needs and opportunities in the Adirondack region. Grants range from $5,000 to $10,000.

"Collaboration is one of the most powerful agents of positive community change; it sparks some of the best work being done in communities across our region," said Cali Brooks, executive director of Adirondack Foundation. "These grants will support organizations that join together across sectors and geographic boundaries to solve problems and seize opportunities."

Priority will be given applications that include outcome measurements. The program funds projects that contribute to community vitality, create community connections, and/or support a healthy environment.

Collaborations grants do not fund capital campaigns.

Applications must be received by 5 p.m. Sept. 15. Grant award notifications are expected to be announced in October. All applications must be submitted electronically through Adirondack Foundation's Online Grants Manager at
