Inlet Fall Festival is coming up

INLET - The 20th Annual Inlet Fall Festival is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 21, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 22, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Fern Park on South Shore Road here.

Musical entertainment will be provided by Dave Ruch Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 3-4:30 p.m. Ruch is widely noted for his ability to engage audiences of all kinds.

Fritz's Polka Band will perform Sunday from 11:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2:15 to 4 p.m. playing everything from modern-style polka to country to rock and even blues.

Saturday's entertainer will be Stephen Gratto from 10:30-11:15 a.m. and 2-2:45 p.m. He has been performing his comedy variety shows for delighted audiences for over 25 years.

Sunday's entertainer will be Victor the Clown from 10:15-11 a.m. and 1:15-2 p.m. Victor is a mime and balloon artist whose talent and artistry captivate audiences of all ages.

Several activity zones will offer things for the young at heart to take part in: a Noah's Ark Animal Workshop, free face painting on Sunday and Innovative Creations with hermit crabs, sand art, spin art, gem mining, pumpkin painting, goldfish games and more.

The food court will offer selections such as gyros, fried dough, burgers, curly fries, handmade pretzels, nachos and cheese, cupcakes and desserts and spicy chocolate covered bacon and soups.


A wide range of vendors will sell crafts including rustic furniture, maple syrup, home decorations, clothing and much more. Watch Greg Rudd of Inlet and Utica toss clay on his pottery wheel at his Country Collage booth where one will also find homemade jams and jellies.

Other Inlet vendors will include walking sticks and candles at Mary Maslyn's Moose River Candle Co. booth and the JWR Photos & Frames booth with Adirondack photography by Joseph Wild. Jonathan Esper of Long Lake will sell panoramic, aerial and treetop views of the Adirondacks at his booth, Wildernesscapes Photography; Lauren Walker-Arsenault, also from Long Lake, will have a nice selection of jewelry at her Silver Sun Designs booth; and Kent Menges of Old Forge will sell metal stick art at his Adironsix booth.

Parking at Fern Park is limited. Free parking will be available at Arrowhead Park and the lot in front of The Woods Inn. A free shuttle bus will be available both days.
