WELLS--Rob Lasher of Wells died unexpectedly Tuesday, Aug. 13, following complications from heart surgery at the age of 62.

He is survived by his sister Patricia; brother-in-law William; nephew Justin; niece Paige; many cousins; three grown children, daughter Amanda and son Matthew and their spouses and daughter Whitney; and Cherie, his wife of 34 years.

Rob is best known for his keen sense of humor and talent for entertaining with story telling.

Rob delighted in being outdoors with an avid interest in wildlife, history, artifact collections, reading and music. He was respected for his expertise as a bird carver and self-employed as a wood turner.

Rob had a passion for encouraging others and sharing his faith in Jesus Christ. He will be missed by many, whose lives were touched by an infectious joy that he shared.

A Memorial Service and time of remembrance with friends and family will be held at the Sacandaga Bible Conference Center at 191 Lakeview Road in Broadalbin Saturday, Sept. 21, at 2 p.m.

Donations may be mailed to the Sacandaga Bible Conference Center to provide camping scholarships for youth. Address commemorative gifts in Rob’s memory to Julie Pitcher / Administrative Assistant.
