PISECO - The superintendent of Piseco Common School District is resigning. Gail Wilcox's last day will be Oct. 31.

Wilcox, of Wells, was appointed as part-time interim superintendent Sept. 1, 2012 after previous Superintendent Peter Hallock resigned Aug. 12, 2012.

The Board of Trustees has decided not to consolidate bus runs with Lake Pleasant Central School. PCS currently transports 10 children to Johnstown High School and three to Wells Central School, including for sports practices.

The board voted Sept. 5 to: change election procedures and rewrite the Public Comment Policy.

Elections have historically been by paper ballot at an evening meeting, with all voters casing their ballots then. In the future the poll will be open for at least six consecutive hours after 6 a.m., with two hours required to be after 6 p.m.
