Moriah, the 2012 Section VII Class C Champion, rallied in the fourth quarter of this year’s Section VII Class D semi-final game to beat the Indian Lake / Long Lake Lady Orange and advance to the championship game.
Classification is based on enrollment, and due to fewer students this year than last Moriah moved down to Class D for the 2012-2013 season.

For the first time in several weeks the weather cooperated last week, allowing area high school basketball teams to play both their scheduled games and some postponed games.
